  35. I have been lurking here for a while and am now ready to ask my first
  36. question!

  38. I have just joined AMSAT but have yet to Rx any info from them.

  40. I am wondering about this new? oscar-25 that I have read about that
  41. has cameras on it.  Will I be able to "listen" to a beacon
  42. from it and decode a picture of the earth?  Or will I have to
  43. "download" somehow?

  45. I realize that I can get "wefax" capable equipment from a variety of
  46. vendors.  Is this the same format?  What kind of equipment will I
  47.  need?

  51. AZ/EL rotator?  If yes, I think I should get one with computer control
  52. capability as I have a 486 machine I wish to manipulate the images on.

  58. assume this device will have a computer interface on it.  Will some of

  92.     I've been looking around for software that will tell me when passes will
  93. occur, much like the "analytical solution" mode of TrakSat for DOS machines
  94. (azimuth, elevation, direction of travel, distance, etc) but haven't had
  95. any luck.  I don't require (or want) graphics support, just a text list of
  96. upcoming passes.  Is there such a beast, and if so, where can I get it?
  97. I'd very much appreciate any pointers.
